 Meal trays are used particularly in canteen kitchens and in airline catering. Depending on the design and manufacture of the container, different aluminium alloys and different temper can be provided. There is virtually no limit to the colors in which single-sided or double-sided lacquering (as required) are available. All lacquers used are highly stable. Sealing systems with the same stabilities are also available. Technical data:
  • Aluminium alloys: 8011, 3003, 3005, temper H0
  • Aluminium thickness: from 40 µm to 250 µm
  • Lacquering: color as specified by client on an epoxy or polyester base
  • filled shells 30 minutes at up to 240°C/464°F circulating air
  • Lubrication: can be done if requested by client; generally a total amount of 0.4-0.6 g/m²
  • Reel widths: variable reel widths from 50 mm to 1,400 mm (2 in. to 56 in.)
  • Cores: paperboard or steel in 76 mm/3.04 in and 152 mm/6.08 diameters

  • BADGE-free polyester lacquering and BADGE at undetectable levels in epoxy lacquers
